Conference Highlights
General Overview
In the wake of No Child Left Behind, there is greater emphasis than ever on ensuring that classroom interventions
impact achievement. This new level of accountability requires that educators leverage technology
tools to access and analyze traditional and real-time assessment data so that they can modify instruction to meet
the learning needs of individual students. At CoSN's 8th Annual K-12 School Networking Conference, school technology
leaders will explore with national policy leaders, researchers and practitioners how technology can be leveraged
to improve student achievement.
Breakout sessions on key topics will be:

The conference program will focus on:

Keynote addresses by: Honorable Rod Paige, US Secretary of Education and the Honorable Patrick Leahy (D-VT), US Senator share their vision of the role that technology can and should play in our schools; "Where Have We Been and Where Are We Going? A Conversation About Technology in the Classroom," with Dr. Seymour Papert of MIT Media Lab and Dr. Linda Roberts, former Director of US Department of Education's Office of Education Technology; and Ferdi Serim, Director, Online Internet Institute, on Get a Clue: The New Manifesto for Learning (The End of Schools & Technology As We Know It).
