Overview The Call for Presentations is now CLOSED. The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) will be holding its 9th Annual K-12 School Networking Conference: Personalization & Empowerment: No Child Left Behind and Technology on March 2 & 3, 2004 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. We are soliciting presenters for this important national conference on how the Internet and information technologies infrastructure can improve learning in the K-12 classroom. In the wake of No Child Left Behind, there is greater emphasis on ensuring that classroom interventions impact achievement and the decisions of school leaders are data driven. At the CoSN 9th Annual School Networking Conference, school technology leaders will explore how technology can be leveraged to improve student achievement. The program will focus on:
Each presentation will be no more than 30-minutes for presentation/discussion and should include no more than two presenters. In addition, due to the high quality and large volume of submissions, each presentation will be paired with a similar presentation(s) to comprise a 60-minute breakout session. Only two submissions per organization will be accepted, so please submit your best proposal(s). Please make sure the presentation is appropriate for the audience of key district, state and national technology leaders who attend the CoSN Conference. Submissions should be of high interest and relevance to the intended conference participants (key district, state and national technology leaders). In addition, it should provide "cutting edge" and practical "how to" information. Applications may only be submitted by individuals from school districts, intermediate/county service units, state agencies or non-profit organizations. Companies that have been working on projects that pertain to the conference program/focus should encourage their clients to submit a presentation application. All presentation submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Planning Committee on the basis of relevance and clarity. In addition, the committee will only review fully completed applications. Presentation summaries, biographical sketches and abstracts of accepted presentations will be reproduced in the conference program and on the CoSN Website exactly as submitted. Please write in complete sentences. Selected presenters will receive a confirmation letter that will include the contact information/abstract of the combined presentation(s). Presenters are encouraged to contact each other to build a cohesive presentation/session. |
