CoSN - Advancing K-12 Technology Leadership

Sponsorship Opportunities

The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) offers a full range of sponsorship opportunities at our conference and throughout the year. Sponsorship provides increased access to education technology leaders in schools and school districts, greater visibility with these leaders and better understanding of the major trends in K-12 education technology.

Sponsorship can make a crucial difference in your marketing efforts in the K-12 education technology market. Our members are the senior leaders in school districts who drive the purchasing decisions. Our reach is extensive with total unique website visits to CoSN per year in excess of 58.000 and 59 million cumulative media impressions from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007.

Become a Contributing or Bronze Conference sponsor or become a Silver, Gold, or Platinum strategic partner with CoSN throughout the year. Select the sponsorship opportunity and level of support geared to your marketing strategies and goals. All sponsors must also be a current CoSN Corporate Member.

SPONSORING CoSN’s ADVOCACY EFFORTS
CoSN maintains a strong and effective voice in policy formation and implementation at the federal level to ensure that legislation and policy serves the interests of all students in our schools. Help ensure that policymakers hear about the value of their investment in technology by supporting CoSN’s advocacy efforts.

CoSN’s works to ensure that policymakers understand the value of educational technology, especially the E-Rate and funding for technology under No Child Left Behind (Title IID, EETT). Important federal programs that fund education technology, including technology training for teachers, hardware and software acquisition, and infrastructure development through E-Rate, are in peril. More importantly, many policymakers do not understand the power of education technology to transform learning nor its ability to help ensure that all students achieve and all teachers are of high quality.

Your support enables CoSN to undertake our policy and advocacy efforts throughout the year as well as at the CoSN/ISTE/SETDA Washington Education Technology Policy Summit (March 11 & 12, 2008). CoSN, in partnership with other leading education technology organizations, organizes a highly regarded advocacy training including a boot camp and issues training sessions, followed by meetings with Members of Congress on Capitol Hill.

CoSN’s advocacy efforts also support the Ed Tech Action Network (ETAN) in partnership with ISTE. ETAN offers a mechanism to inform policymakers in Washington and state capitols of the importance of education technology in fulfilling the mandates of the No Child Left Behind Act and the necessity of providing funds for ed tech programs. For further information about ETAN, go to www.edtechactionnetwork.org.

A Night for Advocacy Auction. To support CoSN’s advocacy efforts and raise awareness of the necessity of funding for technology in our nation’s schools, CoSN will hold A Night of Empowering Ed Tech Advocates: A Silent and Live Auction for Advocacy, March 10, 2008 during CoSN’s annual conference.
