CTO 2012 will help school district technology leaders and chief technology officers understand the critical trends that will change their jobs over the next three to five years. Explore the new skills that will be essential to succeed. Join us for a provocative half-day discussion where participants will address the following:

  • How critical trends by CIO’s in other industries, as well as those in education, change your work;
  • How emerging technologies and critical initiatives such as the Partnership for 21st Century Skills and Web 2.0 change your leadership role;
  • The growing importance for technology leaders to demonstrate value to the instructional leadership,
  • How to balance the emerging roles of technology strategist, diplomat to other district departments, information steward, integrator, and enterprise designer;

  • How to communicate successfully with other educational and administrative leaders in your district to garner support and funding for technology; and, 
  • Making the case that technology can be transformative to learning — and basing the argument on the latest research.
